Airport:

The City’s airport is a 15-minute drive from the Hotel. Our courtesy coach is available for pick-ups and drop-offs on request, subject to availability.

Auto Rescue:

Auto Rescue Limited is operated by Ewan Hilston and is available 24 hours for Accident and Breakdown service, including unlocking a vehicle if keys are locked in. Please dial (03) 216 2903

Babysitter:

A babysitting service can be arranged through the Hotel by contacting Reception. Advance notice is required.

Banks:

All of the major banks have branches in the city and are generally open 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. For further information please contact Reception.

Bars:

The Hotel House Bar is located adjacent to EMBERZ Restaurant and is open daily from 11.00am to late. EMBERZ offers an all-day menu. The Sports Bar, with TAB and gaming machines, is located 100 metres to the right of the Hotel Entrance and is open daily from 11.00am.

Bottle Store:

The Hotel Bottle Store is located next to the Sports Bar and has a selection of wines, beers and spirits at competitive prices.

Business Centre:

The Hotel Business Centre is located next to Reception and offers facilities such as a computer with broadband internet access, scanner and colour printer. For more information or to book, please contact Reception.

Car Parking:

The majority of guest’s rooms enable adjacent car parking. Alternatively, ample car parking facilities are provided opposite the Hotel entrance. Your room key will open either your internal access door, or the entrance door closest to your room.

Checkout:

Guests are requested to vacate their rooms prior to 10.00am on the day of their departure. A late checkout may be arranged through Reception (subject to availability).

Courtesy Coach:

The Hotel Courtesy Coach regularly makes runs to the airport and City centre (subject to availability). Please enquire at Reception if you require use of this service.

Credit Cards:

We welcome American Express, Farmlands, JCB, Mastercard, Visa and EFTPOS cards.

A 1.5% surcharge is incurred for credit card payments.

Dentist:

Please contact Reception if you require dental attention within normal working hours and we will endeavour to put you in contact with a dentist.

For after-hours assistance, the Invercargill Duty Dentist can be contacted on (03) 218 6800.

Doctor:

Please contact Reception and we will endeavour to make an appointment for you at one of the Medical Centres around town.

Dry Cleaning:

A same-day dry cleaning service is available to guests Tuesday to Friday.

Laundry to be dry-cleaned should be left at Hotel Reception by 8.30am and will be delivered back to your room around 5.00pm.

Electrical Voltage:

The electricity supply in the Hotel is 240 volts. Shaving points can be found in each bathroom. Adapters are available from Reception.

E-mail & Internet Facilities:

All guest rooms can access both wireless and broadband internet.

The Hotel Fitness centre has a variety of modern fitness equipment and is located upstairs in the Hotel pool area. Please collect the key from Reception.

Pool towels suitable for gym use, are available at Reception. If any equipment is faulty or in need of repair, please advise Reception.

If you require extra towels, blankets or toiletries please contact Reception.

Ice:

You may arrange to have ice delivered to your room by contacting Reception.

Full laundry facilities can be found in each of the accommodation wings. Laundry powder & tokens can be purchased from reception.

A small book collection is available for guest use in the Business centre located next to Reception.

Mini-Bar:

The Ascot Park Hotel has decided to remove the mini bars from our hotel rooms. If you would like to purchase any snack items or soft drinks, we have a vending machine in the main lobby with a full range of products.

If you would like to purchase from a limited range of beer or wine, please call Reception and we will have it delivered to you (between 8am and 10pm daily). Alternatively, for a larger selection of take-away alcoholic beverages please visit our bottle shop located next to the Ascot Sports bar.

Bottled Mineral Water is also available for purchase at Reception.

News:

Main television news bulletins run at 6.00 pm each night on Channels 1 and 3.

Pool:

The Hotel operates a heated indoor swimming pool, which is located off the main foyer. The pool hours are from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm. (NB: swimsuits may be hired from Reception).

Please collect key from Reception. Children 13 years and under must be supervised in this area. Pool towels are available in the pool area.

If you require assistance with your luggage, please contact Reception.

EMBERZ House Bar is open daily from 11.00am and offers an all-day menu. If you would like a copy of the wine list, contact Reception.

Please contact Reception if you would like us to make a reservation for you at any other Café Bars and Restaurants around Invercargill. You are also able to charge your meal back to your room by showing your room key at other Invercargill Licensing Trust Restaurants.

Room Service:

A Room Service menu can be found on the desk in your room. Room Service can be ordered by dialling 747 during Restaurant hours, or by contacting Reception. NB: There is a $4.50 room service delivery fee.

Sauna:

The Hotel has separate ladies and men’s saunas that are located in the Hotel pool area.

Security:

Articles of value may be left in the Hotel safe in secure deposit bags. Please contact Reception to make arrangements.

Sewing Kit:

A complimentary sewing kit is available from Reception.

Shoe shine:

A complimentary shoe shine kit is available from Reception. There is also a full shoe shine polishing kit in the East Wing Guest Laundry for your use.

Shopping:

The Hotel staff will be pleased to offer information regarding local sights and destinations.

Spa Pool:

The Hotel spa pool is located in the pool area, off the main foyer. Please collect key from Reception. Pool towels can be found in the pool area.
